City Council Goals 2009-2010

The following list of goals was adopted by the City Council on January 23, 2009.  Deemed as priority projects and goals, they shall be completed by January 1, 2011.

1. Complete construction and relocation of the police station;

2. Examine potential sites for a relocated Utilities Department and plan future use of the property vacated by the Utilities ("City Park Property");

3. Develop and proceed with the College Corridor Overlay District;

4. Retain and meet with a consultant to study the City's computer system and implement upgrades, including a solution to remedy current and future website and software crashes;

5. Develop a plan and design to upgrade streets, signage, and walkways, including City gateways, that will give Lawrenceville a uniform, branded appearance; and

6. Adopt a plan that designates the location for TADs within the City of Lawrenceville.

Smell gas?

Attention Utility Customers!

Please don't make an online payment if your utility service has been interrupted, if your utility bill is past due, or if you have a returned check, returned ACH, or credit card chargeback.  Late payments are accepted in the office, Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or in the after hours drop box located on the drive-thru side of the City Hall building.  We are not able to accept phone payments.  To have service restored after hours call 770-339-2410.

 

Notice of Stream Surveying

As a requirement of the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division the City of Lawrenceville is required to perform surveys and elevation calculations on tributaries of major streams located within the city limits. Survey crews of the engineering and surveying firm of Hayes and James and Associates, Inc. will be performing field surveys in the near future. For further information contact Paul Austin, City Engineer for the City of Lawrenceville at (770) 277-7532.

 

Free Mulch

Free mulch will be available to the public on Wednesday of each week from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. beginning July 16th. The location for pickup is 460 Papermill Road at the intersection of Papermill Road and Spring Lake. Mulch will be loaded free by the City.
