The Municipal Court of Lawrenceville has jurisdiction over traffic offense and city ordinances that occur within the city limits of Lawrenceville. Payment Information
If you have received a citation within this jurisdiction, you can contact the court office, by calling 770.963.3288, to determine if your citation can be paid without appearing in Court. For more information regarding MANDATORY APPEARANCES please click here. Please allow a minimum of five (5) working days from the date of your citation to allow the court time to receive your citation from the issuing agency. Acceptable forms of payment in person are cash, money orders or certified funds. No checks will be accepted. Online payments may be made by clicking here.

All persons under the age of 18 must appear in court for any traffic or criminal violation.
Under the age of 21
All persons under the age of 21 must appear in court for any serious violations under O.C.G.A. 40-5-57.1.

All persons charged with serious traffic or criminal offenses must appear in court. In addition, the judge may require a court appearance based on the person's driving and/or criminal record.

If you fail to appear on your court appearance date, a bench warrant can be issued for your arrest. The Department of Driver Services may be notified and your license suspended. Failure to appear warrants must be cleared before you can obtain the necessary paperwork to clear your license with the Department of Driver Services. Important Information: How to Clear a Failure to Appear Suspension
Failure to appear warrants may be cleared through the court office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., except during holidays. Contact the court office at 770.963.3288.
The forms of payment for warrants are cash, money order, or certified funds.
Failure to appear warrants may be cleared 7 days a week, 24 hours a day through the Lawrenceville Police Department at 20 S. Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046

If you are clearing your warrant through the police department, you will need the correct amount of the warrant in cash. Call first to obtain the amount of cash needed to clear your warrant. Paperwork to clear your license with the Department of Driver Services must be obtained from the court office only.
How to Clear a Failure to Appear Suspension
The following information is being provided to assist you in clearing your failure to appear suspension.
If a bench warrant has been issued for failure to respond to your citation, the Department of Driver Services may have been notified to suspend your driver's license pursuant to O.C.G.A. 40-5-56 AND/OR 17-6-11. It is your responsibility to clear your license with the Department of Driver Services.
Clearing the warrant DOES NOT CLEAR YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE. THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OR THE COURT OFFICE CANNOT CLEAR LICENSE SUSPENSIONS. You will need to obtain from the court office and submit to the Department of Driver Services, a release form DDS 912 to clear your license. The court office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Contact the Department of Driver Services for reinstatement information. Their website is www.dds.ga.gov.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday through Friday, 7:30a.m. to 6:30p.m. and Saturday, 7:30a.m. to Noon
Directions: From Atlanta travel I-20 East to Exit # 82 Conyers/Monroe; turn left onto Highway 138. Drive approximately 2 1/2 miles and turn right onto East View Parkway. DDS is approximately .5 miles on the left. Follow signs to driver's license parking area. Regular license issuance, renewals and testing services remain at the individual DDS offices throughout the Atlanta area.
