ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION FOR NEW WATER PLANT
for the
CITY OF LAWRENCEVILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed Bids for the “ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION FOR NEW WATER PLANT” will be received at the Old City Hall Building located at 18 South Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046, until 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2010. Bids received after 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 10, 2010 will not be opened. The project consists of installation of 1319’ 3Ø, 1/0 UG primary in 4”, HDPE, PVC conduit. (as set out in the BID FORM) in Winer Industrial Way in the CITY OF LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. Proposals will be reviewed by the Director of Utilities and will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. A copy of the proposal tabulation will be provided upon request.
Work to Be Done: The work to be performed by the General Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following major items:
1) Installation of 1319’ 3Ø, 1 /0 UG primary in 4”, HDPE, PVC conduit.
2) Underground primary will be installed by directional bore method.
3) Install elbow arresters on outgoing side at stations.
4) Installation of parking stands.
5) Installation of 300KVA 277/480 Transformer.
6) Minimum bore and trench depth will be 5’.
7) Repair all landscape disturbances.
The City of Lawrenceville Electric Service Department will supply the conduit and underground cable.
Specifications and Contract Documents: Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained beginning Monday, August 9, 2010 at the City of Lawrenceville City Hall Mayor’s Office located at 70 South Clayton Street, (phone 678-407-6577), and upon payment by cash or check made payable to the City of Lawrenceville in the amount of $25.00 (non-refundable), for each set. Bidder’s street address, phone number and fax number must be provided to ensure prompt delivery of any addenda. All contractors, subcontractors and distributors must be registered with the City of Lawrenceville by September 10, 2010.
Pre-bid meeting will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Old City Hall Building located at 18 South Clayton Street,, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
SHERWOOD FOREST DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
for the CITY OF LAWRENCEVILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed Bids for the SHERWOOD FOREST DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT will be received at the Mayor’s Office of Lawrenceville City Hall located at 70 South Clayton Street, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046, until 3:00 P.M. Friday, SEPTEMBER 24, 2010. At that time the sealed bids will be opened and read aloud. The bids will be reviewed by the City Engineer and will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. A copy of the bid tabulation will be provided upon request.
Work to Be Done: The work to be performed by the General Contractor consist of but is not limited to the following major items:
1. Site clearing, grading, excavation and milling of existing pavement, demolition of existing curb and gutter, drainage pipe and structures necessary for the installation of 4100 lf of 24” curb & gutter, 500 tons of graded aggregate base and 95 tons of asphalt type “B binder 2.5 inches thick;
2. Installation (including trenching and bedding) of 219 linear feet of 36” High Density Polyethylene Pipe (HDPE), 232 lf of 30” HDPE, 186 lf of 24” HDPE, 196 lf of 18” HDPE, 558 lf of 15” HDPE, 68 lf 36 Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), 64 lf of 24” Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP), 199 lf of 15” (RCP), 15 lf of 21” Aluminized Type 2 Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP), construct two junction boxes, two drop inlets, two curb inlets with hoods, three double wing catch basins and twelve single wing catch basins, install one 36” concrete headwall and one 21” concrete headwall;
3. Seed and mulch or place sod on disturbed areas.
Specifications and Contract Documents: Copies of the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained from Mayor’s office located at 70 South Clayton Street, Phone (678) 407-6577, starting on Monday, AUGUST 30, 2010 for a non-refundable fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) (Note: City of Lawrenceville does not send documents to contractors via U.S. Postal Service, Fedex, etc.). The street address, phone number, and fax number of contractors submitting proposals must be provided to ensure prompt delivery of any addenda. All contractors, subcontractors and distributors must be registered with the City of Lawrenceville by Monday, SEPTEMBER 20, 2010.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, SEPTEMBER 20, 2010 at the City Engineer’s office located at 18 S. Clayton Street. It is recommended that contractors submitting bids attend this pre-bid meeting.
