Michael Fischer joins the team, bringing a wealth of experience as the Assistant City Manager, Operations, having served in leadership for the City of Roswell, Barrow County, and Banks County for the past 23 years in local government. In his last 13+ years as Assistant City Administrator for the City of Roswell, Michael oversaw 12 divisions of Roswell government including Community Relations, Human Resources, IT, Special Events, Municipal Security, Building Operations, Probation, Grants, GIS, Legal, Municipal Court, and City Clerk.
When asked what inspires him about his new role as Assistant City Manager, Operations, Michael explained his excitement for being a resource to the departments he works with. He is excited to use his experience to help facilitate issues and opportunities to make our community a place we can all be proud of. "The City of Lawrenceville has a tremendous reputation throughout the Local Government industry in this state. The quality of this city is well known, and I am so proud to be able to be a part of this team."
