Breath Work is a rejuvenating practice that is known to safely release physical and emotional tension, alleviating the effects of trauma and stress on the body. Did you know that most people are operating throughout the day with a subtle form of hyperventilation? We often breathe in our “fight or flight” mode without even realizing it. This causes the body to produce excess cortisol, a stress hormone that is linked to problems with digestive and neurological health including diabetes and anxiety. Breath Work is a guided meditative practice that will directly impact your nervous system. You will leave with easily adaptable techniques for lowering stress and connecting your mind and body.
Join Breath Work Facilitator, Casey Budd, at the Lawrenceville Lawn on May 25th for a relaxing yet physically engaging practice that has been known to reduce anxiety, promote digestive health, treat trauma and depression, and even assist with weight loss and skin glow.
Join the City of Lawrenceville in an all-new event series dedicated to building community through engaging experiences that focus on fun, outside of the box, healthy, and unique activity that might not be widely practiced or easily accessible. Some common themes throughout this series might be curiosity, wellness, inclusivity, and discovering what the DTL has to offer.
