$2.3-million project to be funded by SPLOST dollars.
By unanimous vote, the Lawrenceville City Council approved the Paper Mill Road improvement project and awarded it to the low bidder, Archimetric Design & Construction, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $2,342,447.60. The improvement project will include 1.01 miles of curb and gutter, drainage, sidewalk, road safety improvements and striping.
“This project has been long requested by members of the community,” said Mayor David Still. “The members of the City Council and I are pleased to see it move forward for the benefit of all who live and work in that community.”
Work is expected to begin in September 2021 and is expected to be completed in late 2022. The City of Lawrenceville is pleased to be able to complete these sidewalk and road improvements within the City in order to enhance neighborhoods and provide an overall improvement to the safety and functionality of our City.
