Paper Mill Road Lane Closure

Road Closure

Part of $2.3 Million Sidewalk Improvement Project.

Beginning Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Paper Mill Road will be reduced to one lane just west of Paper Creek Drive due to the construction of a retaining wall as part of the Paper Mill Road Sidewalk Improvement Project.  The lane closure is expected to last no longer than 45 days, placing the end of the closure in mid-June.

A temporary traffic signal will be in place 24 hours/day until the work in this area is complete.  The City of Lawrenceville recommends motorists avoid this area and seek alternate routes whenever possible during the lane closure period.  Alternate route suggestions are utilizing McCart Road, Simonton Road or Springlake Road to bypass the area.  No detour signs will be placed.

The Paper Mill Road Sidewalk Improvement Project is a $2.3 million project to add sidewalks, new asphalt, drainage and safety improvements from Springlake Road to McCart Road.
