*Crimes Against Persons include homicide, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault.
**Crimes Against Property include burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, and arson.

“An overall reduction in crime is great news for our community when we are often seeing increases across the nation,” said Mayor David Still.  “I am grateful to the men and women of our Lawrenceville Police Department who work to keep our community safe every day and for the attention to detail provided in their reporting.”

The comparison report, prepared by the Lawrenceville Police Department Crime Analysis Unit, was created from crime data collected using the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS), which captures greater details regarding crime incidents.  The use of this system became mandatory in 2022.   The City of Lawrenceville Police Department is fully compliant with the NIBRS reporting.

“This is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the outstanding officers serving this community,” said Chief John Mullin.  “We will continue evaluating and improving our operations to maintain a safe community for all who live, work, and play in Lawrenceville.”
