With few exceptions, all police reports filed with this department are reviewed by a supervisor within the Criminal Investigations Division to determine if a follow-up investigation in warranted. There are many factors into determining if a follow-up investigation will be opened. Keep in mind, property crimes and crimes with no injury may take a few days to process and reach a Detective.
