1. Why is my deposit so high?

The Commercial Deposit is computed based on the prior consumption at your location. If you complete the service application in its entirety, the deposit is twice the highest bill. If you elect to exclude applicant information from your service application, the deposit is three times the highest bill.

2. When do I get my deposit back?

Commercial deposits are applied to the final bill when the account is closed out. If a refund is due, a check will be mailed to your forwarding address.

3. Can I use a letter of credit (from a bank) for the deposit?

A letter of credit (from a bank) will be accepted only when the amount of the deposit exceeds $50,000.
