How can I appeal my property value?

The tax value for the current year is set and cannot be appealed. All deadlines to appeal with Gwinnett County have passed. In the future, you may appeal to the Gwinnett County Board of Assessors. For more information on filing an appeal or return and the appropriate steps, please contact the Assessors’ Office at 770-822-7200. If you filed an appeal against your property assessment, you are still required to pay the bill by the due date. Once the Gwinnett County Board of Assessors or Board of Equalization makes a final decision on your appeal, please forward a copy of the decision to the City of Lawrenceville customer service team (PO Box 2200, Lawrenceville, GA 30046). The City will record the new value and process any resulting billing adjustments.
