1. Will the event be cancelled if it rains?

All events are rain or shine! However, if the weather becomes severe, the event may be cancelled or rescheduled for the safety of everyone in attendance. Please follow the City on social media and at www.downtownlawrencevillega.com for any updated information regarding rain dates.

2. Do I have to pre-register to attend a City of Lawrenceville event?

Probably not.  We have removed most of the pre-registrations requirement surrounding our events as of April 2021, due to changes in the Governor's Orders.  However, some events may have limited attendance in support of public health.  Please follow the City on social media and visit www.downtownlawrencevillega.com for the latest information on City events.  

Please note that VIP experience / ticket offerings require advance registration and payment.

3. Can I bring my pet to the event?

The Lawrenceville Lawn is a public park, and many of our events are held outdoors in public spaces.  We do require that dogs be on a leash.  We also request that you clean up after your pet in order to keep our City clean and enjoyable for all.  We have pet waste stations installed in multiple locations around the Lawn for your convenience.

We caution pet owners that many of our events involve large crowds, loud music, and more than one involving fireworks.  If your pet is anxious, please consider these factors before bringing it to a City of Lawrenceville event.  

4. What does it cost to attend?

Please visit www.downtownlawrencevillega.com to find event details.  Most City of Lawrenceville events are free to attend, but some do require a small fee. Some events may also have food trucks or snack vendors present selling snacks, frozen treats and other food options.

5. How can I find out about the City's health and safety protocols?

Visit the "Health and Safety Tab" to read about the City of Lawrenceville’s Healthy and Safety practices and protocols surrounding special events. 

6. Is the Lawrenceville Lawn open to the public during a special event?

If a city-sanctioned or city-sponsored event is taking place at the Lawrenceville Lawn, portions of the park may be closed to the public, including the main Lawn area, portions of the parking lots, and the volleyball courts.  The Lawrenceville Lawn stage is always closed unless reserved in advance and opened by City of Lawrenceville staff for a special event.  Any event-related road closures will be announced on social media prior to the event. 7. How can I be an event vendor or a sponsor?

8. Am I allowed to bring our own food and drinks?

Absolutely! Feel free to bring your own food and drinks or visit one of the incredible restaurants on the Square to enjoy a meal before the event. Please note that no outside alcohol is allowed at City events. However, beer and wine will be available to purchase at most events.

9. The event is "sold out", what do I do now?

The City Events Team structures all City Events with safety measures in place that support public health and meet CDC recommendations. Therefore some City of Lawrenceville events may require registration and have limited attendance.  

Should an event you are interested in attending show as "sold out," that means there are no more available tickets to that event.  And due to our limited attendance in support of public health, we will not be adding tickets.  The good news is that we have a full calendar of events and many opportunities.  Please also consider volunteering at an event.

10. Can I bring my camping grill?

Unfortunately not. No open flames are allowed due to the safety of all event attendees.

11. Do you have a Lost & Found location?

Any items that are found after an event are held at City Hall for one year before they are discarded. Please call 678.407.6653 or email [email protected] if you have lost something during a City event.

12. Can I set up a tent at the Lawn?

No, tents are not allowed at the Lawrenceville Lawn during city events. Feel free to bring chairs and blankets to use for seating.  Be sure to visit www.downtownlawrencevillega.com for event details and any registration requirements.
