Major Myron Walker began his Law Enforcement career in 1991 as a Deputy Sheriff with Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department. During his career with the Sheriff’s Department, he served as a Field Training Officer (FTO) while assigned to the Detention and Field Operations Divisions. He also served on the Sheriff’s Criminal Apprehension Team (SCAT) which specialized in Drug Interdiction and Traffic Enforcement. Major Walker’s work also includes Field Operations as a warrant Deputy and later promoted to the rank of Sergeant where he supervised the Fugitive Unit, Sex Offender Registry Unit, Family Violence Unit, and supervised Officers assigned to the Federal Taskforce (TFO’S). Major Walker also served as Interim Police Chief for the City of Lawrenceville.
Major Walker grew up in Gwinnett County and graduated from Dacula High School. He continues to be a resident along with his wife and two daughters. Major Walker has served the great citizens of Lawrenceville since 2018 and looks forward to continuing to build community relationships.
